Battery Recycling, collection and removal process
Battery legislation introduced since 2008 means all producers, distributors and retailers have a duty to take back and recycle batteries that have reached their end of life and to facilitate this there are a number of Compliance schemes they can join. Due to the mercury, cadmium and lithium content, incineration or landfill is illegal. As disposal isn’t always as straightforward as it sounds, Site Clear offers a full collection and removal process in order to make it a simple and easy disposal process.
We offer battery recycling boxes in a range of sizes to suit your needs, from our 5ltr Batt Clear box through to a 600ltr pallet box.
Our battery boxes are suitable for the disposal of all battery types from AA and watch type batteries, through to lithium ion batteries and larger batteries such as automotive, industrial and portable batteries.
Importantly, certain battery types do pose a potential fire risk and as such we can provide comprehensive advice on how to store and handle any battery type whilst in your possession to avoid any dangers.
